In light of the attempted terror attack on the US-bound aircraft this past weekend, I predict travelling will become very difficult in the next decade. Perhaps, it is time to rethink how passengers are transported worldwide.
If we wish to have better security, the US and Canada should build a man-made island off the shores of the continent and force all international flights to land on the floating airport. From there, everyone must travel by underground rail to the mainland. Passengers and their bags will be separated and reunited after a 24-hr period. Why should we continue to allow people to travel by air over North America? Let's put people back on trains and buses. No more convenience permitted.
It's time for the US and Canada to take a tougher stance on who is allowed to travel to North America.
