If the Russians and Chinese are so hellbent on dropping the US dollar as the world's reserve currency, why not adopt the Loonie? I don't believe the RMB or the Ruble or any other currency including the Euro should or could be designated the global currency. Here's why: Russia and China will not seek out global peace and prosperity. Euroland - too many fights between the have and have-not Member States to warrant any serious look. Canada? We're too small and too weak militarily (global superpower-wise) to scare any of the nuclear power nations. I would love to hear/watch a debate between global economists about the merits of designating the Loonie as the new global currency. What say you "Wall Street", "IMF", "World Bank", "Goldman Sachs"?
