Drunk Driver: How much time in prison is enough?

Yet another tragic story about traffic fatalities in Japan. This past weekend, a drunk driver whose driver's license had been suspended drove his car into a group of people and drove off. In his statement to the police, the drunk driver claimed that he did not know he had ran into a group of people. (Yeah, right! Tell us another big fib!)

I'm not sure how much time he will serve behind prison walls but, any sentence that is less than 20-25 years is too short. If the judges decide his sentence should be life, I would not complain.
