Tokyo Earthquake

I almost forgot to blog about tonight's earthquake! Our office is in a tall office tower and when the earth moves, it sure makes me wish I were back on the Canadian Prairies! The tower moved back and forth but luckily the guys who did the engineering were top-shelf guys! Whew, we escaped the Big Tokyo Quake again.

Matsui: Rookie of the Year? It's all over the media here: Hideki Matsui did not win the Rookie-of-the-Year Award. Apparently, the voting was put into question as one writer decided to make Matsui ineligible for the award due to Matsui's playing professional baseball in Japan...

Teenage Girls Sentenced to 30 Days I am somewhat surprised that the judge did not impose a harsher sentence on the teenage girls who 'spiked' the drink of another girl. I hope the judge knows what is best for society. (Related story.)
