Congratulations to President Obama on Winning the Nobel Peace Prize

It is just outstanding. I have renewed hope that the US is destined for greatness once again. By awarding Obama the prize, the world should stand up and take notice that one person can bring great change to the world. Obama exemplifies the spirit of peace and goodwill toward all people. Although he inherited two wars, he is doing his best to bring a resolution to both conflicts. Remember that he only took office in January of this year.It may take time for this actions to bear fruit so patience is warranted.

Let's hope those fence-sitting politicians in DC can now use this great announcement to campaign and vote for the destruction of all nuclear weapons. Such weapons threaten the security of the entire planet. And they have no place in the 21st Century.

The Surging Price of a Great Undergrad Education

How much is your son's or daughter's future college education worth? Would you spend $10,000 to help improve his/her chances at attending a great school? Versus a fair school? Would you spend $50,000? $100,000?

It scares me to think about how much money I need to pay to get my son a great education. Scares me to the point that I can barely sleep at night anymore.

I really need to get a second job. And even perhaps a third paying job. I mean - really; how many hours of sleep do I really need to get everyday? 4? 5?

China GDP Rebounds

I don't think the Q2 '09 GDP figure is accurate: 7.9%. My forecast said growth would be 14.5%. I suspect that the Chinese government is under-reporting the growth figure so as to keep the West as far as way from the country as possible. Had the government reported the much higher and more accurate figure, you can bet your bottom dollar that every government in the West would be hammering Beijing to open up its border to more and more and more and more foreign trade and FDI.

I don't think the CCP is just ready to let the capitalists from London, New York and Tokyo come into Shanghai and Beijing and take over the economy. Nope. Not going to happen in my lifetime and most likely not going to happen for another 100 years.

The West should give up and try to open ne w markets elsewhere. China is a lost cause. There is no way China will let the West fully come into the country. Sorry - not going to happen.

Sarah Palin - took herself out of the race even before it began.

Newt - I think he screwed up so badly with his initial endorsement of Palin that he should be disqualified to ever again hold public office.

Bobby from Louisiana - nope, he screwed up with his response to President Obama televised to the entire world. Stick with fixing the aftermatch of Katrina and you might have a chance in 2016 or 2020.

Sanford - well, he royally screwed the pooch with his on-air admission of his love affair. Not going to rebound in time for 2012.

Rush - huh? Is he still alive?

Rudi G - nope. His marriage to his cousin knocked him out with the social conservatives.

Huckabee - well, if Chuck Norris has his way, Huck might be the nominee.

WSJ: Danny Pang took $83M from investors

Why does the WSJ report such 'unnewsworthing items' anymore? Who cares whether some smuck rips off some poor sap who wanted to reap huge annual returns of 20-30% per year? I really don't care anymore. There are so many stories of 'trusted advisors/fund managers' going to the dark side and 'commiting outright fraud'. Really - who the fxxk cares anymore? Shouldn't the WSJ report on something else?

China: Selling PCs in the Middle Kingdom

I don't think foreign PC makers can convince the Chinese government from reversing their controversial policy of demanding the installation of some (tracking/web filtering/monitoring) software on all PCs shipped to/into China from 1 July. The only way the Chinese government would ever drop such a high barrier to PC makers is when they perfect a 'human tracking/camera embedded in the eye' software/hardware for each of the 1.3 billion people in the country.

China wants to track and follow everyone in the country. Once this technology is perfected, the government need not care what people do with their PCs: the government will actually see what they are doing through the government-installed camera in every citizen's left eye/right eye.

I am quite sure some company based in Silicon Valley, Austin Texas, Boston Mass, or Waterloo Ont is working on the design specs right now.

Just think when you go in for an eye exam, some government-backed doctor will place a few eye drops in both eyes with nano-size bots in the liquid. Once inside, the bots will embed themselves right at the back of the eye and voila - we have a live connection.

Instead of the West screaming about installing stupid software onto PCs, the West should think of ways of preventing the tracking of humans by the Chinese government. How about tin foil hats or something like that?

US Secret Service: Will they investigate Fox News Channel?

Glad to read in the NYTimes that some of the students at HBS have decided to sign a plege of ethical behaviour. Let's hope the graduating class have more honesty and integrity that some of the students who graduated so many years ago.

Solution to Detroit's Problems: Federal Employees Must Buy Ford or GM

Forget about the other car company.

I strongly believe that the federal government order all federal employees to purchase automobiles only from either GM or Ford. If a federal employee owns another make of auto, they must sell it/trade it/give it away (title and all).

NY Post: Racism is Alive and Doing Well

See the NY Post and related editorials about the big stink caused by the now infamous cartoon showing two policemen standing over the dead body of a chimpanzee. I won't link to the cartoon as I do not want to throw gas on an already out of control fire.

I believe the NY Post editors were both careless and stupid with their 'apology' about publishing the cartoon. If there was no clear intent of associating the cartoon with President Obama, they should fire the cartoonist and take out a front page apology and donate the proceeds of one full day of circulation to some organization that fights racism in the country. Short of some real apology, the owner of the NY Post should fire the entire editorial team immediately.

Racism has no place in the world. Not now, not ever.

If the NY Post does not take care of this disgusting attempt of satire, you can bet a dollar or two that there will be more protests in front of their building and circulation will continue to plumment.

Obama White House: New Bipartianship Strategy

Here is my political strategical advice to the new White House team in five easy to follow steps:

Step #1. Please refer to the GOP politicans as 'grumpy old white men'. I don't women could every be grumpy.
Step #2. Laugh at everything they say. Comment that they are 'sore losers'.
Step #3. Tell the American voters that every vote for a member of the GOP is a vote for the Great Depression Part II.
Step #4. Tell the US people and the world that your White House will throw in jail all GOP who still adhere to the belief that all men are create equal; Law-abiding, God-fearing Americans do not believe in the right to own a AK-47 or bazooka, nor are stupid politicians who still be in 'tickle-down economic theory/voodoo economics' worthy of any political office, let alone have the right to bring children into their world. The GOP are not equal to rational and family-loving people.
Step #5. Ban the GOP. Label the entire party as Terrorists and send the entire group of them to Gitmo. Let them have a little taste of old, discredited and outdated justice.

There you have it. My advice to Rahm, David, and the gang who advise President Obama.

Open Letter to US Secretary of Treasury: Tim Geithner

Dear Mr. Secretary:

Don't worry about all the naysayers on the echo chamber of mass media. You are better than them. Don't get into a yelling match of trying to calm the stock markets (aka. the criminals who got the world into this mess) and the voters (aka. the rich white folks who only care about sending their kids to private schools on the east coast). Tell them to go to helll.

Hold your ground and keep your current path.Fix the system. And let the a-holes on CNBC keep yelling at the cameras. It was so funny watching them complain about your speech and your interview with Brian Williams after.

The Sleeping Giant Awakens: The New USA

In the years to come, the world will hear a new lion roar: the USA.

Under the leadership of President-elect Obama and his trusted advisers, the US is set to awaken from an eight-year slumber. And the world will hear her roar loudly and clearly. A new world actor shall emerge and take control of global trade and finance. Mind you it might take a few years to get the ship back on its proper course, but it will.

And the world is much better for putting Obama-Biden into the White House. We should thank the Americans for showing us how a democracy can work.

I hope the voters of Japan will do the same.

NY Times: President Bush Refuses to Provide Aid to Israel

Omigosh. If true, I would not be too happy with the Bush Administration turning their collective backs on the Israelis. Israel is fighting for it own survival and if it needs some 'bunker busting bombs' to keep Iran from launching a nuclear weapons programme, I would not want to stand in the way of the Israelis. Nor should anyone in the US. As long as Iran is inching towards becoming a nuclear power the entire world is not safe. For once Iran gains nuclear weapons technology, you can bet your last dollar that its first and last target will be Israel. With Iran's nuclear launch, you will see the entire world becoming radioactive and I do not want that to occur.

Let's hope President-Elect Obama and his national intelligence/security teams do better on their watch.

Very interesting and thought-provoking self-questionnaire in the November 2008 Harper's Magazine by James M. Olson.

I took the test and found only one item morally objectionable. I guess I subscribe to the Doolittle principle: Fair Play Must Be Reconsidered.

I find the second item somewhat unacceptable. I wonder if my score provides me with a better chance of getting into law school in the US.

New Idea on How to Save Ford, GM and the Private Equity Guys

Shut down the companies for 3 years and rebuild the factories to build automobiles for the 21st Century. Pay all workers their full salary for the term. Ownership of all companies would be split 51% and 49%, US-government and shareholders respectively. Let the Germans and Japanese and the rest supply automobiles to North America while the Big 3 get their acts together.

And for any reason the Big 3 disagree, shut them down. Break up the company and sell the assets off.

Senator Clinton: Secretary of State?

Sure, why not. Clinton could be a very valuable person in the top foreign posting. She has the name recognition. She has Bill. She has the brains to do the job. Financial Crisis: What crisis?

I honestly believe that Sen. McCain does not understand anything anymore. His age is finally catching up to him. He no longer has any control over his faculties. And as a result, the GOP should ask him to step aside immediately. To Whom it May Concern:

I know that many of you are unhappy with the direction the GOP (extreme right wing, neo-cons, KKK) are taking the country. With Sen. Obama so close to winning the White House, the GOP are going to do all it can to hand the White House to Palin. We know that McCain won't even get a chance to sleep in the White House as he will probably die from a heart attack on the night of the election from heairng that he won. So, it will be President Palin in charge. So, what can you do?

Well, you can suck it up and live in fear of your rights. You can kiss your rights to this law. That law. Any law. You can bet the neo-cons have already made plans to invade Iran. Add North Korea to the list as well.

As for Israel, you can be the anti-Semites supporting Palin are going to pull the plug on them. I suspect deep down Palin has some deep down contempt for the Jewish people. So, you can bet the Middle East will begin a hundred-year war from 2009.

So, what can you do? Live in fear or live in happiness? Well, happiness it can be. My suggestion? My advice? Move to Canada. And bring your friends, jobs, money and education. We'll take all of you. Leave the US to the racists. Leave the US to the sexists. Leave the US to the neo-cons. Canada is a great place and I'm sure you will find eternal happiness up north. So, don't wait. Get your butts to the nearest Canadian consulate and grab some dox and learn how to emigrate.

US Presidential Debates: Round I

I was impressed that McCain made it to Ole Miss on Friday night. Let's just hope he can start getting serious about the campaign and stop spewing garbage out about non-issues. The US deserves a rigorous debate about the issues and less crap about how young Obama is.

Anytime I hear McCain talk about Obama's age and inexperience, I want to scream. I hate when I hear older people talking to younger people with contempt. If McCain does not have the decency to speak to Obama with respect, he should step away and let another GOP heavweight take over the ticket.

Wow. I am going to blog about the debate after it ends. The best McCain can do is 'announce his withdrawl from the election'. Let someone else within the GOP run in November. It is not too late. And should McCain withdraw, do not let Palin be on the top of the ticket. Palin should be permitted to return to Alaska and face the wrath of the big moose and polar bears. Oh, let Palin look across the water and wave to Putin and order the National Guard to invade Russia. Oh brother. How did the GOP allow McCain and Palin run the party into the ground. Heck, I cannot understand how any true-blooded American could allow this to happen to the party.

With Israel in control of a few tactical nukes, you can rest assured, they will lob them into any Middle Eastern nation that attacks. And voila, WWIII. Nuclear winter. US Interior Department Officials Received Many Treats & Favours

According to the WaPo article, "Report Says Oil Agency Ran Amok", several staff, no make that 'MANY' staff got caught with their fingers in the cookie jar and pants down. Whoever said life in government was boring sure needs to go work at the Interior Dept overseeing the billions of dollars worth of royalties that flow into the government's coffers. Drugs. Sex. Lots of sex. Lots of money. Lots of bad boys and girls. I guess this is what happens when the core-Republican base goes off the rails.

I am sure the GOP guilty boys and girls will somehow blame the Democrats for their immoral and illegal behaviour. Nonetheless, God is going to send a million volts of electricity up their collective butts for being so bad.

Isn't it time for change in D.C.? Only after spending the next 8-12 years in the cold, can the GOP ever hope of finding the error in their ways and restore the true base of the party. Please. Oh, please. Get rid of the false believers. Get rid of the religious right. Get rid of those fakers who claim to know what R. Reagan would do. Banish them all. And banish them quickly.

Palin: "Bridge to Nowhere" Story

C'mon everyone. Leave Palin alone. Can't you tell she is having a tough time under the glare of the media. Everyone, including us bloggers, should go easy on her. Remember she is a mother of five. She loves hunting. She loves fishing. She loves killing with her bare hands. She loves .... hey - WTF! If she can't take the heat, tell her to get the hell out of the race. Put someone else on the ticket. Let's draft Rush Limbaugh. Now, that is a very polarizing figure who would bring out the best in us all.

Now, let me ask you a couple of questions: (1) don't you think pigs would look better with lipstick?, (2) is the comment that far off its intended target?

No, now seriously folks - let's not allow this presidential campaign turn into some frat party fight. We don't want the entire world to think the US is filled with a bunch of people with poor table-side manners, now do we???

Ten Questions to Ask VP-nominee S. Palin During the VP Debate

Questions:
1) If you become president due to the unfortunate passing of President John McCain, will you force Americans to hold the same religious beliefs you have?
2) Will you force pregnant women to seek back alley abortions or will you force them to carry the fetus to full term under threat of prison?
3) Will you turn the US military forces into religious crusaders and vanquish the spread of non-Christian thoughts and beliefs?
4) Will you ever break break with a foreign dignitary regardless of that person's religious beliefs?
5) Will you bring back prayer to the classroom?
6) Will you force all pregnant teenagers to marry the father of the child? If the father chooses not to do so, will you force the person join the military?
7) Will you force every new citizen of the US to swear allegiance to the US flag, the constitution and Christianity?
8) Will you force all wives to obey their husbands/master without question? If so, will you obey your husband when he orders you to bomb Russia and China? Will he in-fact be the CINC? And not you according to your religious beliefs?
9) Will you order the elimination of all non-believers and members of the Democratic Party in order to further your church's agenda? And finally...
10) How many people will you order killed/re-educated during your term?

If you answer these questions successfully, I will do my best to help you and John McCain get the keys to the White House.

President Palin: What if?

Yikes. It sure sounds scary. The more I read about her and the more I hear her talk, I worry about the US. Moreover, I worry about Canada. With Palin's finger on the nuclear button, I believe she will threaten Ottawa and demand the immediate break-up of Canada so the US can annex us. She might even send in the military and kill all liberals and non-whites. Double yikes. I should tell my family to buy plane tickets and head back to Asia. At least over here, Palin would not be so inclined to drop nukes all across Asia... or would she???

VP Palin sworn in as US President as Pres. McCain succumbs to illness

(AP) Washington, DC.

The nation says good-bye to President John McCain who finally passed away in his sleep. After serving less than one month in office, the strains of the November election took his last breath away. World leaders will pay their last respects to Pres. McCain as he lie in state for a two week period. As the republic says farewell to McCain, President Palin made some immediate changes to her new cabinet. Ralph Reed has been nominated to serve as Secretary of State. Dick Cheney will return and serve as president, oops, no - vice-president. President Palin will speak to a joint session of Congress and announce her new doctrine for the 21st Century.

Insiders have leaked excerpts of her speech. Here is what the US will face in the next 3 years and 11 months.

"My fellow Americans I stand before you knowing full well that you may not agree with my ideas but, I do not care. As the new CINC (Commander-in-Chief), I have ordered the Joints Chiefs to send three battle carrier groups to the Middle East and do what the British failed to do: Takeover the entire region. Once America controls the vast oil reserves in the region, the big oil companies will help the Republican Party control the White House for the next one hundred years."

President Palin, if you recall in her debate with Sen. Joe Biden, yelled that it was "[h]er desire to spread Christianity around the world" and if necessary, at the "point of a gun (or) nuclear tipped bomb."

In another passage, President Palin will ask that all Supreme Court Justics step down. And if they don't step down, she will order their deaths by firing squad. Only when she can put her choices of justices on the bench, can she overturn Roe v. Wade. From her upcoming speech, Palin will lay out her plans on how women will act in Palin's new America. Palin will argue that "[w]hat plagues our great nation is the fact that women have been spoiled for too long. I plan on revoking the voting rights of the women's immediately. Also, I plan on fining any company that employs single women. Single women should any man to marry and start making babies. Women are put on this earth to serve man. In my new America, women will get married, get pregnant, have babies and lots of them. Any women not married by the age of 18 will be given two choices: first, join the military or two, be escorted to the US-Canadian border and banished from my USA."

When Sec. of State Connie Rice was asked what she thought of Pres. Palin's new plans for America, Rice responded, "Where is a good place to live in Canada?"
