Just joined the summit. Not too many attendees. Hope more people will join later. Sitting 5 rows from front. I had better not fall asleep. The nice BGM will make it hard. BlackBerry from Tokyo

I hadn't heard of this event. Would love to hear what you thought of it. Not sure who is the audience.
[my reply to gen]
I only attended the session about SNS on day no. 1. Really enjoyed hearing about how each company (Gree, FB, MySpace and Xiaonei) believe SNS is going to play out in the near term. All of them are chasing the 'holy grail' of monetizing users within their respective networks. While
Tanaka at Gree is only focusing on Japan, FB and MySpace are still battling it out worldwide. As I listened to Joe Chen speak, I really got a feeling that he is doing his thing in China and waiting for the battle between FB and MySpace to take either of them or both of them into the abyss. Joe mentioned that Oak Pacific is looking at doing some type of play into Japan. No further word from him about what and when tough.
Disclaimer: I used to work with Tanaka and so, I am definitely cheering him on from the sidelines. I did have the pleasure of meeting Joe in China and I believe he is quite capable of changing the global face of SNS.
