Yes. Finally, there is a candidate that will pull the GOP back to its roots. Smaller government. Responsible government. Fiscally conservative government. No babbling about 'more religion in government'. I honestly believe there should be a litmus test for GOP presidential candidates. Anyone who throws around the bible and the Lord's name during the campaign season should automatically be thrown out of the party. Religion and the practise or lack thereof should not be brought into the public arena. Whether one worships a higher being or not should not influence the outcome of the election. All I would ever expect from a politician is their pledge to act morally while in office and not to do unto others ... (you get the idea). You know - the Golden Rule.
Actually, I would like to see Newt and Hillary share the Oval Office. As co-presidents, they could bring about effective change to the republic. I don't think that ever has a chance of happening but I can be hopeful. Remember, I still believe in Santa Clause and goodness lies in the hearts of people.
If Newt gets the nomination and wins, let's hope he has the strength to nominate several key and outstanding Democrats to his cabinet. And the same goes for Hillary, if nominated and elected to the White House, let's hope she unites the country. And what about 'Big Dog'? What role would he play? I would like to see Bill serve as UN Sec General.
